Sengu

The climax of the Shikinensengu (reconstruction) is the ritual called Sengyo. In this ritual, the sacred altar is enclosed in a white silk curtain held by priests and is transported (shitsugyo) to the new Goshoden in the middle of the night. After the shitsugyo, the oomike, and houheinogi ceremonies are held together with the dancing of the sacred dance okagura.
