You will not want to miss the pyramid shaped glass greenhouses at the foot of Mt. Omuro-yama. Here, you can enjoy viewing over 3,500 different kinds of cacti and 130 kinds of animals and birds.

Ito Orange Beach

Ito Orange Beach

This sandy beach is located along the east end of the resort spa area which is a very convenient place to stay during your visit. After swimming, you can stop by and relax at one of the onsen spas. If conditions do not permit swimming at the beach, you can always use Shiei Kaihin Pool (Municipal swimming pool). Other beaches in the area include Usami Beach, Kawana Beach, Futo Beach, Yawatano Beach, Akazawa Beach and Izu Kaiyo Koen Park.

Nagisa Koen Park

Nagisa Koen Park

Nagisa Koen is a large park at the mouth of Matsukawa River. It was renovated in 1977 for the 30th anniversary of Ito-shi. One of the distinguishing features of this park is the bronze statues which were made by the local sculptor, Shigeoka Kenji. The statues' bronze color creates a very beautiful contrast with the blue of the sky and the sea.

Tangerine picking

Tangerine, picking is one of the famous activities in Ito. People are having fun picking their own tangerines. You can pick Onshu-mikan from October through January and Amanatsu-mikan from February through the end of May.

Fishing

Ito-shi is the place for fishing! There are 200 fishing locations along the coast of Ito-shi. You can enjoy fishing on the shore at Jo-ga-saki Coast and fishing on the ship at Ito bay. Fishing for conger at Matsukawa River and fishing for crucian and black bass at Lake Ippeki-ko are also popular.

Izu Grand Parc Koen Park

There are many enjoyable attractions in this park such as field athletics, go-carts and roller slider. You can also play a round of miniature golf.

Izu Kaiyo Koen Park

The flowers (bougainvillea and anemone) give this park a tropical atmosphere. The park is located at Jo-ga-saki Coast. In the summer, many people come here to enjoy swimming in the sea water swimming pool and children's swimming pool which are located by the sea. You can also get information on good places for scuba diving.

Jiro Osaru (Monkey) Land

Jiro is a monkey which is well known for his acts of mischief and cute poses. Jiro's show is very popular in Japan. The theater is able to hold 1,000 people.
