Kintai Bridge - One of the three most beautiful bridges in Japan:This bridge, 5 meters wide and 210 meters long, with its five wooden arches, is the most popular tourist spot in Yamaguchi. As an old saying goes, "Fuji represents the mountains, Nachi represents the waterfalls, and Kintai represents the bridges." One can imagine the splendor of this bridge. No nails but only wires and clamps were used in the construction. The illumination at night is also beautiful.
●15 minutes by bus from Iwakuni Station and 1 minute walk from the Kintai Bridge bus stop.

Kikko ParkThis park was the residence of the Kikkawa family. In the park are residences of the Kagawas and the Mekatas, noble families that served under the Kikkawa. Also in the park are the Iwakuni Historical Museum and the Kikkawa Family Museum. A visitor to the park can see such beautiful plants and trees as azalea, tree peony, iris, and blue flag in bloom. It is a popular spot for tourists and citizens.

Iwakuni CastleThis castle is a 3 minute ride on the ropeway from the Kikko Park. This castle was built by Hiroie Kikkawa over a period of seven years. The present castle was rebuilt in 1962, conforming exactly to the original construction. The 360-degree panoramic view is very beautiful. Inside are displayed armor and weapon from the medieval times.
