Lafcadio Hearn's Old House / The Lafcadio Hearn Memorial MuseumKoizumi Yakumo was the Japanese name of Lafcadio Hearn. The local people called him Herun-san. He moved to Matsue in 1890 at the age of 40 and lived here for one year until he transferred to Kumamoto. Tanabe Art MuseumThe exhibit features tea utensils that once belonged to Fumaiko as well as other tea-related art pieces. The collection was originally the heirloom of the Tanabe family, and the museum was founded in 1979 by the former governor of Shimane prefecture, Tanabe Choemon.
