Yakumo-an Yakumo-an
One of the samurai homes in Shiomi Nawate was turned into this Izumo soba (buckwheat noodle) restaurant. Enjoy the view of their beautiful Japanese landscape garden while you sample their warigo soba. The restaurant premises also includes a tea house that was once used by Fumaiko.

Rinsui-tei
The steam-baked bass, a Lake Shinji-ko specialty, is their recommendation. The bass is wrapped in Izumo's special washi paper so that the original flavor of the fish stays while being cooked. This specialty is rarely seen outside of the area.

When you get tired of walking around the city, take a break at the Coffee-kan located along the Kyobashi-gawa River. The brick building, which is the cafe, is easy to spot. Their original roast coffee is popular among patrons.
