Senjo-ga-hara Plateau is fully covered by beautiful trees such as larches, beech trees and white birches. It is a very famous and enjoyable place for nature hiking and looking out on Mt. Nantai-san and Mt. Akagi-san. Since Senjo-ga-hara is located 1,400 meters above sea level, there is always a comfortable cool breeze. People come here for fascinating activities: photographing the seasonal flowers, listening to the wild birds' singing, and observing natural wonders through binoculars. Going to Yu-gawa River along the Senjo-ga-hara Plateau Nature Trail, you will find people who are fishing for trout. In the autumn, the changing color of the trees' leaves on the mountains creates a different atmosphere of complete beauty. In the winter, many places are covered with snow, and you will become lost in the quiet and isolated nature. No matter what season you decide to visit, you will find the beauty here most satisfying.
