The Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama

The museum exhibits works by some local artists as well as prints by Picasso, Miro and Klee. The building with a unique exterior was designed by Kurokawa Kisho (a Japanese contemporary architect). The roomy exhibition space is appealing with some objets d'art placed here and there.

Wakayama Prefectural Museum

This museum is located next to the Modern Art Museum, and its building projects a modern atmosphere. Collections of Wakayama's cultural properties and historic materials from the primitive age to the present day are displayed in six different sections. Their way of exhibition is interesting, as they made full use of visual materials, such as models, dolls, puzzles and computer graphics.
